Recently, Simon was released for Windows as 32-bit executable. I was able to install this software without problems on Windows XP. So I decided to check out whether it would be possible to install it on a Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit machine. And it worked out.
But I won’t use this under Windows Vista because I want to stick to my Windows XP machine. Until now, Windows Vista is for me a stranded investment. I don’t need it. I don’t use it (except for short testings). But maybe it is interesting to know for someone out there that Simon should be compatible with Windows Vista. But of course, I haven’t done lots of testing. I just installed Simon.
One additional remark: At the moment, Simon for Windows is in the German language. But it is possible to run it in the English language. This requires a small trick. If you want to know more, you may want to take a look into this discussion at VoxForge.
