I used sam, and now I can’t activate simon any more. I deleted a word with sam, without replacing it with a new recording (I shouldn’t have done that, but I wanted to get rid of that word).
I had made a backup of the folder /home/ubuntu-64bit/.kde/share/apps/simon/model while it was working. After it became corrupt, I deleted the faulty folder. Now I want to import the backup folder:
The folder /home/ubuntu-64bit/.kde/share/apps/simon/try-to-restore-simon contains all files that were in the previously working /home/ubuntu-64bit/.kde/share/apps/simon/model folder. simon imported 618 files. The import was successful. Let’s see whether it is possible to synchronize. I hope that it will work out because I don’t want to loose my work.
I am now starting ksimond, then I will press simon > Connect, then Synchronize. Now a obscure question appears:
The word “S” is used in your training-samples but is not contained in your wordlist.
Do you want to add the word now?
I didn’t train the word “S”. Why does simon claim that it is used in the training-samples? I press the Cancel button.
Unfortunately, I can’t activate simon any more. What do I have to do?
Download (53 MB) the backup folder that I want to import into simon.
I don’t know much about how simon handles the different wav files, the prompts file, the lexicon file. Copies of these files can be found at different locations on my computer (e.g. in the simond folder). But how can I fix this error?
The easiest way would be if the simon import function would accept my extracted backup folder. Well, the backup folder was imported successfully into simon, but I can’t activate simon any more. So something went wrong. I want to fix that error, but I don’t know how.
