In Applications > Universal Access > ksimond – there is no entry at all for ksimond. I am not able to start ksimond because I can’t find it.

If you start "ksimond" by entering it into a terminal, what happens? You also get access to the simond configuration through systemsettings if you have it installed. Expect it to be fixed in the next couple of weeks - then with scenario serialization support and the testing of static and adapted models too.
