I can’t import photos under Ubuntu

Under Windows XP, it is very comfortable to move pictures from my digital camera to the computer.  Under Ubuntu, I wasn’t successful.

a camera has been detected

When I connect the digital camera via a USB with my computer, Ubuntu tells me that a camera has been detected.  But when I click “Import Photos”, Ubuntu doesn’t import the photos from the digital camera to the computer.

I hope that someday this problem will be solved.
