Sound under Linux is often a big problem. I have solved this problem partially by using the JACK Audio Connection Kit. Here is my configuration:
I had to try several times to get an acceptable solution. By the way, I am using Audacity in conjunction with JACK.
Sound is often a problem under Ubuntu Linux. But I think that I have solved this problem on my computer. Let’s take a look at the following screenshot.
You can see on the left side the JACK audio connection Kit. And on the right side you can see how I am installing Audacity.
It is necessary to experiment with the Audacity preferences. The recording device has to be set to the JACK audio connection Kit system. I had to do a lot of trial and error. But in the end, it worked and is still working.
